About the selections below:
Selecting "adapter" system
means that the VoIP service will work with an adapter plugged into your Internet connection and your regular telephone
plugged into the adapter.
Computer software based systems require that you use your computer and a headset or a USB phone (Skype offers USB phones starting at about $24). You cannot use your regular phones
and your computer must be on and connected to the Internet. (Skype is due to launch a Wi-Fi phone soon that you can pre-order. With it you could connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot)
